Sharks Development – FAQs

The decision has been made to take games away from PointsBet Stadium in 2020-2021 while the Leagues Club and surrounding areas are under construction.

Where will we be playing our home games?

The venues for Sharks home games are yet to be locked in. We need to confirm our venues with the NRL by August 31st. We seek your feedback to make the most informed decision before this deadline.

What happens with my Member seats for the next two seasons?

We are going to ensure that Members receive priority service throughout our transition process.  No matter where we play, we will ensure that Members have premium seats for home games.  During the transition to a new venue, we will allocate like-for-like seats in an area as similar as possible to your current seat and PointsBet Stadium. We will consult with you to approve the new seat and look at an alternative if the new location does not meet your expectations.

Will I have the same seats when we return in 2020?

Those who retain their Membership during the next two years will be able to secure the same seats when we return to PointsBet Stadium.

When will the Leagues Club shut down and re-open?
We can confirm the decision has been made by the board and management to close the Leagues Club for a period while construction and refurbishment takes place. The club will close around December 2019 and potentially re-open around the middle of 2021.

Why are we taking games away from PointsBet Stadium?

With construction severely impacting the game day experience, especially parking and ground access, not to mention the safety issues, the Sharks are looking at taking games to other venues for 2020 and 2021. The Members will get the opportunity to hear from Board and management and to voice their opinions at Member information sessions being planned, with games and venues still being confirmed. We will communicate when the information sessions will take place.
